Tamari Stir Fry
2Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 onion
3 carrots
1 inch ginger
2 garlic cloves
1/2 to 1 zucchini
small hand full of snap peas
1c. broccoli
1 & 1/2c. cabbage
hand full of bean sprouts
3 Tbsp reduced sodium Tamari
1 Tbsp rice or cider vinegar
1/2 Tbsp sugar
4 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp arrow root powder
sesame seeds (garnish)
Use a large sauce pan or wok and put on the stove over medium heat. Add the oil and ginger. After a minute add the carrots. Wait two minute then add the onion. Stir-fry for 5 minutes until the onions are translucent. Add the garlic, zucchini, snap peas, broccoli and cabbage if it starts sticking at any point add WATER, Tbsp at a time. Put on low heat.
Whisk together the tamari, vinegar, sugar, water and arrow root powder. Add to the stir-fry and add more water if needed. Let the sauce thicken and serve over brown rice and sprinkle on top those sesame seeds. :)
