Lentil&quinoa soup

Sundays are always lazy days so I use the good old fashion crockpot, the infamous wedding gift, atleast where I come from.  So here's the yummy recipe:

1 c. lentils
1/2 c. quinoa
1 heeping spoon full of organic better than bouillon veggie base
4tsp. cumin
1tsp tumeric
dash of red cayenne pepper
2 garlic cloves
1 onion, or 1/2 of red onion
1Tb olive oil
salt and peeper to taste

some red cabbage
2 carrots
1 stalk of celery
corn from the cob
red or green bell pepper
any other vegetables that you might have extra of like:
okra
tomatoes
fresh parsley
broccoli
Kale
etc.
(I've tried it with all and it's yummy!)

This lasts Steve and I a couple of days, so we'll take some for lunch and have leftovers for dinner.

instructions:
chop up the veggies how you like it! put the quinoa and lentils in the crockpot with the seasonings, add the veggies and fill it with water then start the cooking time 4-6hrs.
